Osteoarthritis, also called degenerative joint disease is the most common form of arthritis. Post-traumatic osteoarthritis of the knee, is a prevalent sub-type of osteoarthritis, in which the joint that has been subjected to any kind of physical injury becomes damaged and worn out. Symptoms include swelling, joint pain and accumulation of fluid in the joint.
